Concrete Floor Paint
Epoxy paint has become far more popular in recent days. Often, I have talked to individuals that have asked me, “Why the heck would I want to put Epoxy on my floor?”. The answer is simpler than you think. First, let’s talk about your home.
The vast majority of homes in the United States have some concrete in them. Whether it be a basement or a garage, the you almost always find it somewhere. The great thing about concrete is it’s durability, but it also isn’t very hospitable. It is not only ugly, it is also uncomfortable. How many times in your life have you gone in your basement bare foot, and been greeted with a a wonderful blast of cold on your feet? What if you never had to feel that again? Epoxy floor covering will fix it.
The other thing I have about concrete is its rough texture. It isn’t very easy on your body. While you could carpet it, it is less expensive and more stylish to actually laminate it with epoxy paint. After the lamination, the floor will have a slick contemporary look, and no longer give you cold feet.
You can also use epoxy floor coating for wood. Have a hard wood floor in the kitchen? If you laminate it, you will never have to worry about it being scratched again. This protects your home value and gives that contemporary look we discussed. I know my dog has really beat up my wood floor throughout the years. I actually had to buff out the floor before I laminated it, but now I don’t have to worry about it anymore.
So, next time you think about remodeling, think about making your garage and extension of your home. Or, perhaps protecting your floor, or your feet.
